Resident Evil 5: Mercenaries Co op

When I first played Mercenaries --I couldn't understand how players had achieved such high scores. So when I played my next game I started to ask questions and I got these two popular answers.

I learned quickly that melee was the best way to go because it adds 5 seconds to the clock. Timing is important because you earn 1000 points per second left on the clock, BUT rememer you must destroy the 150 enemies including the (evil)chicken.
The Combo System is important too--extra points are awarded by killing in high combo.
(Example: 20 or more kills) I have done combo kills non-stop upto 150.
